8월 2일(주일), 성골롬반외방선교회 선교센터에서 성소모임을 가졌습니다. 오전에는 선교지에 처음 도착하고 나서 겪게 되는 여러 어려움, 문화와 언어의 이해 부족에서 오는 개인의 가난체험에 관해 나누었습니다. 개인의 가난체험은 결국 인간으로 세상에 오시어, 전인적 체험을 하신 가난의 예수님을 우리 마음 깊숙이 받아들이는 겸손의 영성이었습니다. 오후에는 개인면담과 2시 미사로 성소모임을 마무리했습니다.
On August 2, we held a vocation gathering at the Columban Mission Centre. During the morning session, we reflected on the many challenges missionaries often face when they first arrive in a mission country. We shared about the experience of personal poverty that comes from not yet understanding the local culture and language. Ultimately, we recognized that this experience of poverty is a spirituality of humility, inviting us to welcome more deeply into our hearts Jesus, who became human and fully embraced the poverty and vulnerability of the human condition. In the afternoon, we had individual interviews, and the vocation gathering concluded with Holy Mass at 2:00 p.m.
