Catholicism in Korea: Its Evolution and History Pope Francis will become the third pope to visit Korea and with that, Korea’s catholicism is also shedding a new light. Catholicism is now the third-largest faith in Korea and today, we have invited Father Donal O’Keeffe, Director of the Columban Fathers in Korea, the missionary that has been working in Korea for over 80 years to delve into the history of catholicism in Korea.

한국 천주교의 특징
교황의 방문은 한국에 가톨릭이 전래된 이래 세번째이지만 이번 프란치스코 교황의 방문은 어느 때 보다 더 주목받는 방문이다. 이와 함께 한국의 천주교와 그 역사가 재조명을 받고 있는데 오늘 이시간에는 지난 80여 년간 한국 선교에 앞장서 온 ‘성 골롬반 외방선교회’ 한국지부장 도널 오키프(Daniel O’Keeffe) 신부님과 한국의 천주교에 대해 자세히 알아본다.
